Cedric Akue is a contemporary Artist based in Houston Texas. He is concerned about what our sensori-emotions process as appreciative taste, or lack thereof, either it be subjective or objective.
Upon noticing a glimpse of his artistic talent at an early age, Cedric was encouraged by his school teachers to pursue his passion. He spent entire afternoons during his childhood drawing his Disney and Manga favorite characters. That fascination with drawing grew in him and it is a skill he practices constantly, even to this day.
During his formal training as an artist, at the University of Houston, and other local Colleges, he had the privilege to learn from the experience of renowned local artists such as Rachel Hecker, Gael Stack, Perry House, Beth Secor, Aaron Parazette, Jack Hanna, Kelli Vance, Shannon Duncan and many others.
Cedric is inspired by his Bible based Education and the different places he visited, as well as the people he met during his life, in the Americas, Europe and Africa. His artistic skills embrace a wide variety of art movement and genre; from abstract to representational with a touch of surrealism, impressionism, expressionism and even sometimes tribal. Indeed, he is best known for his eclectic style.
Cedric's work are held in private collections in the United States, Europe and Africa. His pieces are now praised and collected by many art enthusiasts.
